3 promises for Godly Entrepreneurs

3 promises for God entrepreneurs from the bible

Solopreneurship can bring forth many doubts and insecurities. What better way to fight against those uncertainties than using God’s promises?

What promises?

You might think, hold on, what promises?

The ones that are true and yes and amen?

What does that mean?

When you read the Bible, you’ll see that God promises many things to the Israelites, and to the Gentiles (Romans 9–11 talks about this when it describes how the Gentiles are engrafted into the branch of Israel—the first receivers of God’s promises. In Matthew 8:10–11, Jesus confirms their adoption when saying that many Gentiles will sit at the feast in heaven.)

Some promises are about the promised land, or about Jesus’s first coming to earth.
Others are about our everyday life and what God wants for us—a couple of those especially resonate with people in the role of solopreneur.

Here are 3 promises that will hopefully bless you and give you strength.

Promise 1: God Gave You a Place

Read:
Psalm 139:13-16
1 Corinthians 12: 4-27

God intentionally created unique individuals. Wonderfully creating you with various kinds of gifts and talents was so that you can be a vital, valuable, functioning part of the body of Christ.

Business-wise, that means you can run your business in a way that is authentically you. After all, no one can execute their work exactly as you do. You should own that and consider it a strength.

If God knitted you to take your appropriate place in life and use your God-given talents and skills, it’s an absolute waste of time to compare yourself with others.
Other solopreneurs are NOT you.
Other people are wired in a different way.
We’re simply different parts, essential to contributing to one body.

Does that mean you should never look at other body parts?
Sure you can. You can draw inspiration
You can collaborate and do greater things for God’s kingdom together, but you should never doubt how you run your business. God destined you to use your authentic approach for His glory and the good of others.

Embrace it, and take your place with confidence!

Promise 2: God Hears You

Read:
Psalm 55:16-17
1 John 5:14
Jeremiah 29:12

Have you ever experienced a time in your entrepreneurial journey when God seemed silent? You’d ask Him for direction, and after praying, all you heard was crickets.

Doubts began to arise:
Did God hear me?
Did He care about this?
Was He simply ignoring me?

It’s frustrating to spend minutes in prayer and walk away empty-handed. How are you supposed to move on?

Well, there’s a promise in God’s Word that you can anchor on: God always hears you.

God isn’t deaf to your prayers. In fact, He collects them in golden bowls (Revelation 5:8).
God cares about how you are feeling.
He wants to help you deal with the problems in your business.

Every little thing that goes on in your mind, can be shared with God.

He will listen.

He wants to hear it all.

And He hears you! Never doubt that.

Promise 3: God Will Fulfill Every Need

Read:
Philippians 4:19

To want something and to need something are two different things.

Little children don’t always want to go to bed but they definitely need sleep, whether they like it or not.

As adults, we can act the same way.
We can get our wants and needs mixed up.
For example, you can pray to reach more people for your events or earn more money but end up not receiving it.
It’s not wrong to pray for these things, but if God doesn’t provide, it’s might not be what you need at that time.

There’s no doubt that God wants what’s good for you and that He will fulfill every need as He promised. We just have to become more Christlike to understand what He thinks our needs are.

Let me rephrase that to help you see how amazing this promise is: God fulfills all of your needs, which means you lack nothing.

That is a promise that will comfort any solopreneur in any phase of his or her business!
