“We both had dreams,” they answered, “but there is no one to interpret them.” Then Joseph said to them, “Do not interpretations belong to God? Tell me your dreams.” — Genesis 40:8

Joseph’s story is drenched in dreams. Dreams with meaning
It shows God can use our dreams to communicate to us.

At first, I found it a bit “weird” that dreams would tell me something. It seemed almost occult to have a dream explained.
But, Joseph did no less.
In fact, explaining Pharaoh’s dream made him take a position of power.

God is big
And marvelous.
He uses dreams.  Dreams are His idea. He created our amazing brain, able to conjure up dreams.

All to say, don’t take your actual dreams lightlyGod may be speaking!

My advice? If you have had a particular dream, write it down quickly.
Then review it. You probably can tell whether it was from Him or not.
Especially if the dream repeats itself ;).
Or really impacted you.

God communicates in different ways. Dreams may be what he uses for you. For others, He might use peers, or a deep urge, or…

How does God speak to you?
I’m curious to know to whom God revealed they had to go into business in a dream!
