Devotional - impatience
"But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life." (NIV)
1 Tim. 1:16
Hi,
>> How do you respond while you're standing in a long line to pay for your groceries?
>> What do you feel when you have to wait for a traffic light and there's no one on the street?
>> How does it affect you that your business isn't yet where you want it to be?
Such things annoy me.
I'm not the most patient person. So you can imagine what I often pray for ;).
But, where is this impatience coming from?
...Our need for fast-paced development or growth for our business?
..Our expectation to get a reply on an email the same day?
We see it everywhere in the world. Everything needs to move fast. Results on the radar.
The enjoyment of the journey in between seems lost.
And only a focus on achievement is left.
Can we try to go slow? This last part of 2020?
Jesus has immense patience.
He always had. And always will have.
Since He's our example, how will you approach the last month of 2020?
With love,
Jane
