Devotional - taking decisions with God

"In all your ways submit to him, and He will make your paths straight." (NIV)
Proverbs 3:6

Hi,

I can overthink things a lot. I can pray about minor things, doubt them, preventing me from moving forward. All the while I use the excuse that I'm seeking guidance from God.

Sometimes the answer never comes.

Why?

I think because God gave us a sound mind (2 Tim. 1:7). The fact that I doubt my own capability to make a decision - too afraid to move on - basically says that I'm not trusting what God has put in me. Or trust God in general.

What is bent, He can make straight.
If I drift away, He knows how to bring me back.
He promised He is in control.
He provides.

For God to provide, we actually have to take steps. I can't just sit back and wait till He makes things happen (or for him to answer on a small decision I have to make). I have to do the works. Not just the thinking :).

So, work with all your heart, as working for the Lord (Col. 3:23). And give Him the glory. In all the little things we do.

If there are no steps, there's no path to straighten.
So go and have faith.
Choose!

With love,
Jane
